Here are my favorite aircraft images I captured while serving in the U.S. Air Force as a photojournalist from 2009 to 2016. My favorite aircraft to photograph would have to be the C-17 Globemaster III. Every base I served at, the C-17 was the flagship aircraft. The aircraft is used for moving cargo, military vehicles, troops and can even be used for medical evacuation.
One of the biggest stories I covered as a military photojournalist was the delivery of the final C-17 from Boeing to the U.S. Air Force in 2013. I documented the handing over of the aircraft from Boeing to Air Force generals who flew the C-17 from Long Beach California to Joint Base Charleston, S.C.
